TITLE I SCHOOL –PARENT COMPACT
 
As a school we will
  • Provide a high quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the student to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards.
  • Provide ongoing communication between teachers and parents through parent teacher conferences and weekly reports to parents.
  • Provide an “open door” policy.
  • Encourage parents to volunteer and participate in activities in their child’s classroom.
  • Model, teach, and reinforce respect for students and others.
  • Inform parents of available resources to assist in each child’s education, including guidance counseling.
  • Address academic and behavior concerns in a timely manner.
  • Schedule meetings to accommodate all parents.
  • Provide a safe environment.
  • Meet the needs of each individual child.
  • Address discipline concerns in a fair and consistent manner.
     
     

    As a parent I will help support my child’s learning by
  • Assuring that my child attend school regularly and arrive on time.
  • Monitoring his/her attendance, homework completion, and television viewing and/or video game time.
  • Volunteering and being active in his/her classroom.
  • Participating in decisions relating to his/her education through participation in PTO, School improvement Council, and parent teacher conferences.
  • Providing opportunities for exercise, healthy meals, and rest so that they are ready to learn.
  • Reading daily with them.
  • Helping them understand homework assignments.
  • Teaching my child to be respectful and responsible, and to take responsibility for their actions.
  • Communicating and cooperating with my child’s teacher to resolve conflict.
  • Communicating daily what my child learned at school.
  • Teaching my child the values of education and motivate them to succeed through praise and support.
  • Assuring that my child will attend school regularly and that my child will arrive on time.
     
     
     

    As a student I will
    Come to school to learn and I will learn.  I will have a good day.  I will act in such a way that I will be proud of myself and others will be proud of me too.
